As of April 1, 2019, Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Counselling, Kinesiology, and Physiotherapy will be fully covered by ICBC, and for Registered Massage Therapy there will be a nominal fee.
In the first twelve weeks from the date of the accident, all patients are immediately covered for:
12 Acupuncture treatments
25 Chiropractic treatments
12 Counselling treatments
12 Kinesiology treatments
25 Physiotherapy treatments
12 Registered Massage Therapy treatments
These treatments are available without the need for a doctor’s referral. They will last for exactly twelve weeks after your accident date. For motor vehicle accidents dating before April 1, 2019, patients will continue to finish their allotted treatments. If a patient requires treatment beyond the visit limit or if additional programs or services are required, the patient must consult with a physician to obtain a new doctor’s referral.
